Former GOP Rep. Claims Susan Rice Will Become Democratic Presidential Nominee

Former Republican Representative Jason Chaffetz, now a FOX News host, made a bold prediction on Thursday regarding the Democratic Party's 2024 presidential nominee.

Chaffetz speculated that former U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice would be chosen to replace President Joe Biden, with the influential backing of former President Barack Obama.

In an interview with FOX News host Sean Hannity, Chaffetz suggested that Obama's preference for Rice would sway the decision-making process.

"I think Barack Obama makes this decision and he goes to the person that he likes the most and that's Susan Rice," Chaffetz said.

The conversation took place during Hannity's show, where a panel of conservative voices convened to discuss concerns over President Biden's declining health, prompted by a report from Special Counsel Robert Hur.

Hannity initiated the panel discussion by highlighting the media's newfound willingness to address Biden's purported weaknesses, particularly his mental and physical decline, which had previously been avoided.

He expressed frustration with the Biden administration's reaction to this coverage, suggesting they were displeased with the revelation of what he considered to be the truth.

Joining Hannity were conservative commentators Tomi Lahren and Stephen Miller, alongside Chaffetz. Lahren further speculated on the Democratic Party's stance, proposing that they might be tacitly allowing media scrutiny of Biden's abilities as part of a strategy to prepare for his potential departure.

She hinted at California Governor Gavin Newsom as a prospective successor in such a scenario.

The conversation underscored growing concerns within conservative circles about Biden's fitness for office and the potential ramifications for the Democratic Party.

Chaffetz's prediction added fuel to ongoing speculation about the party's future leadership and its relationship with figures from the Obama era ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
