Former FBI Boss Warns FBI Agents Could Flee After Trump Elected

A rather interesting interview took place on CNN this week with former FBI boss Andrew McCabe.

If you recall, McCabe was the Deputy Director of the FBI when James Comey served as the Director, then elevated to Acting Director after Comey was removed.

McCabe appeared on CNN to discuss a possible Trump presidency, and he sounded scared out of his wits.

When McCabe was asked what he thought about a second term for Trump, he responded, "It’s terrifying. It’s frightening.”

He was further asked what it would mean for FBI agents, and he responded, "I mean, people are actually worried about being thrown in jail or grabbed in some sort of extrajudicial detention.”

So, let’s look at all of this for a minute.

When Comey and McCabe were in charge of the FBI, the Russian collusion investigation went on far longer than it should have, and this has been confirmed by several FBI agents who had worked on the case.

There were also massive FISA abuses, with the biggest issue being the use of the Steele dossier to back up warrant requests.

This was a document that was literally paid for by a Trump political opponent, but the FBI used it to back up illegal FISA warrants.

Comey, McCabe, and anyone else responsible for this broke the law and should be punished.

The only thing any agent would have to fear from Trump is if they violated policy and used their personal hatred of Trump to try to rig the case so Trump would be linked to the Russians.

Does anyone reading this believe that rogue agents or leadership in the FBI should still be employed by the FBI?

No, I didn’t think so. And you know the only agents calling McCabe to express fear about this are the agents who were complicit in all this nonsense.

So, if you are asking me if I think it is a bad thing that agents are terrified of Trump winning, I would say no because if they are afraid of him, it means they probably did something they were not supposed to do.

Believe me, I have dozens of friends who are present and past FBI agents, and what happened during that investigation sickened every one of them.

There are still good agents and leaders in the FBI, and we need the FBI, but we also need it to be investigated and cleaned up to ensure it can never be weaponized against someone the way it was against Trump.
