“This is a horrific case,” said Aisha Braveboy, state’s attorney of Prince George’s County. “I am truly pleased that Mr. Wojahn has [pleaded] guilty and accepted responsibility for his actions and these horrendous crimes.”
“As a former elected official, the College Park community put its faith and support in him to serve each resident and their best interests. Instead, he let them down in a most disgraceful way,” Braveboy continued.
Patrick Wojahn had been the mayor of College Park — home to the state's flagship University of Maryland campus — up until March, when he was arrested.

"He will be formally sentenced in November," according to CBS News.
"Police investigated Wojahn, 47, after receiving a tip in February from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a social media account that was eventually traced back to him," it noted.
Wojahn previously served as the town's mayor until March when he was arrested on the charges. He had served in the role since 2015.
Wojahn stepped down at the time, citing the need to deal with his own mental health, prior to pleading guilty to the charges in court.
The case involves one of the most serious sentences against a mayor involving pornography in the nation's history.
Wojahn's plea deal may not be confirmed until later this year but his guilty verdict ensures he'll likely serve a lengthy sentence in the highly-public case involving the former College Park mayor.
