Florida Rapper Shot and Killed After Birthday Celebration

Rappers have not had a very good run of it as of late.

Yet another rapper has been shot and killed.

This time, it was Julio Foolio in Florida.

Rapper Run

Is it me, or does it seem like there has been an abundance of rappers who are showing up in the news as of late as victims of some brutal homicides?

To that point, Foolio had been staying at an AirBNB in Tampa Bay, but he was booted from the AirBND and forced to relocate to a local Holiday Inn for his birthday bash.

Apparently, his partying ways did not sit well with neighbors because police showed up and removed him from the home, which he posted on his Instagram account.

His attorney, Lewis Fusco, stated that this is where Foolio was ambushed, shot, and killed.

Fusco stated, “Mr. Jones had been in Tampa to celebrate his birthday over the weekend.

“Law enforcement reports indicate that he initially stayed at an Airbnb but was asked to leave due to exceeding occupancy limits.

“He subsequently relocated to the Holiday Inn, where he was involved in an incident in the hotel parking lot and reportedly ambushed.”

Local police added some details, stating that Foolio and three other people were in their cars when the assailants showed up and opened fire on the group.

Foolio was shot and killed, with the other three individuals injured during the shooting spree.

There is some video surveillance from the hotel, but police have yet to identify any suspects and nobody has been arrested as of this report.

The root of the shooting is likely tied to Foolio’s gang connections, as he was affiliated with the KTA gang in Jacksonville, which has noted beefs with multiple other gangs in the area.

In 2018, Foolio’s cousin and three teens were shot and killed, ironically, during another birthday celebration for Foolio’s brother.

During a recording session in 2021, there was another attempt on Foolio’s life, but he survived that attack, only being grazed by a bullet.

Foolie later trolled his shooters on social media, telling them, “Y’all miss a whole 100 shots literally.”

Well, they only needed to be successful once, and that clearly just happened.
