Today, we mourn the loss of a New York City first responder.
It was a death that likely did not have to happen.
It is a death that happened because of yet another idiotic Democrat policy.
Don't Call
Queens Councilwoman Tiffany Caban and Zohran Kwame Mamdani, a state assembly member, sent out a tip sheet urging people not to call the cops but to try to de-escalate the situation instead.
They suggested calling mental health services and to engage in "community mediation" rather than calling in the police.
Caban stated, "We're distributing them to local businesses, so our neighborhood is equipped with better ways of solving problems than simply summoning police every time a challenge arises."

That sheet went just days before FDNY EMS Lieutenant Alison Russo-Elling was stabbed to death...
The man who killed this woman is the type of person these guidelines ask people to de-escalate with on the street.
How much more are Democrats going to bend over to side with thugs before they wake up that cops are needed specifically in these cases?
The mentality of today's Democrat Party is utterly baffling to me.
Call the cops and by all means, do NOT engage.
