Well, Trump has officially revealed how he plans on ending the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Step one… tell Russia to end the war.
Step two… give Ukraine enough weapons to blow Russia off the face of the earth.
Most mainstream news outlets slammed Trump for this “plan,” including the Washington Post, which called his plan, “…something.”
The Trump Plan
Trump appeared on Fox News this weekend with Maria Bartiromo.
She and Trump have always had a rather friendly relationship, so Trump is still willing to come on her show, even though she will pop him with a tough question from time to time.
Trump has stated from the outset that had he been in office, Russia never would have invaded Ukraine, and I believe that as well. He has also stated that he could end that war in 24 hours if re-elected.
When asked how he would go about that, Trump responded, “I know Zelensky very well, and I know Putin very well, even better. And I had a good relationship, very good, with both of them. I would tell Zelensky, no more. You got to make a deal. I would tell Putin, if you don’t make a deal, we’re going to give him a lot. We’re going to them more than they ever got if we have to. I will have the deal done in one day. One day,” reported the Daily Wire.
“We’re gonna give [Ukraine] a lot. We’re gonna give them more than they ever got if we have to.”
Trump says he’ll give more weapons to Zelensky if Putin doesn’t agree to a peace deal.

This is an interesting take by Trump because a lot of his supporters are against the United States continuing to fund this war effort.
While everyone acknowledges the cost of having Russia beat Ukraine, many insist any losses from a Ukraine defeat will be more than offset by the sheer dollar value in aid we would continue to pour into this effort.
To that point, several Republican talking heads slammed Trump for his comments.
Republican strategist Ryan James Girdusky tweeted, “This is basically what Biden is doing.”
Claremont Institute fellow David Reaboi really let Trump have it, stating, “In order to end the war, Trump commits to following the Lindsay Graham and Neocon policy of arming Ukraine to the teeth.
“That’s exactly what’s happening now, and it hasn’t changed Putin’s behavior. Would Trump escalate against Russia beyond that? That’s exactly what Americans don’t want.
“Newsflash to MAGA: Trump isn’t even suggesting the Biden policy—even the White House is slowly coming to realize that the whole thing is a mess—he is endorsing exactly the Lindsay Graham policy to end the war. How does that sit with you?”
Influential Republican David Sacks called the approach “disappointing.”
I am really curious to see how this plays out and if MAGA gets behind this strategy or calls Trump out and asks him to rethink it.
Now, I don’t want to say I told you so, but I did say that Trump would regret keeping Graham in his camp, and you see where all that criticism was centered.
Just saying…
