Texas Volunteer Firefighter Found Dead

A local Texas town is in shock today.

Capt. Charles Krampota of the Alvin Volunteer Fire Department has passed away.

He passed away only a few hours after responding to a call.

Unexpected Death

Krampota had answered a call for a fire at a mobile home only hours before his passing.

There were no casualties in the fire and they were able to put it out rather quickly.

Just a few hours later, Krampota was found dead inside his home.

Chief Rex Klesel stated Krampota was reportedly a member of the Alvin VFD for over 20 years.

“Charlie was an outstanding firefighter, and friend to so many.

“One of the most dependable and hardworking individuals I have ever met.

“He will be sorely missed.”

In addition to working for the fire department for two decades, Krampota also worked for the Alvin Independent School District.

His most recent position was an MEP Manager in the Maintenance Department.

The cause of death is now under investigation.
