The fatal attack took place on Saturday in San Luis Rio Colorado, Mexico.
According to the local reports, the suspect, 28-year-old Jose Luis “N,” entered the Beer House bar just after midnight, and stayed there drinking for about an hour.
He reportedly got into an argument with another patron, and he was then kicked out of the bar for the argument as well as being intoxicated, and that is when everything started to go sideways.
Bad Night
In addition to being drunk and starting an argument, “N” was also reportedly harassing women at the bar.
Well, he did not take too kindly to being kicked out of the bar this time around (it was reportedly not the first time he had caused problems at this bar).
Sonora Attorney General Gustavo Romulo Salas Sanchez then stated that “N” moved his car to the entrance of the bar, took gasoline out of his tank, sprayed it all over the front door of the bar, then set it on fire using a handheld torch.
When he set fire to the bar, there were about 80 people inside, 11 of whom died as a result of his arson, reported Breitbart.
Firefighters were called to the scene, but some patrons had already met their demise.
Local reports stated that 10 of the 11 victims were pronounced dead on the scene, with the 11th dying at a local hospital where they were taken for treatment.
Another six people sustained varying degrees of injury.
The Sonora Attorney General’s Office has charged “N” with murder, attempted murder, and arson charges.
This was far from his first run-in with the law, as I found a November 2021 report that Jose Luis “N” was a member of the New Generation Cartel on the Mexicanist.
In that report, “N,” along with several other cartel members, were charged with using drones with explosives.
