MTG’s Husband Files for Divorce

Another marriage has fallen apart in the GOP.

After almost three decades of marriage, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and her husband are splitting up.

Perry Greene filed for divorce on Wednesday, claiming the marriage is "irretrievably broken."

No Ill Will

I imagine the profile MTG has created over the last two years would be a bit much for anyone to handle.

This new life was surely a far cry from the life they have lived to this point.

After the news broke, MTG stated, "Marriage is a wonderful thing and I'm a firm believer in it.

"Our society is formed by a husband and wife creating a family to nurture and protect.

"Together, Perry and I formed our family and raised three great kids. He gave me the best job title you can ever earn: Mom.

"I'll always be grateful for how great of a dad he is to our children. This is a private and personal matter and I ask that the media respect our privacy at this time."

Perry Greene also released a statement via MTG's team, stating, "Marjorie has been my best friend for the last 29 years and she has been an amazing mom!

"Our family is our most important thing we have done.

"As we go on different paths we will continue to focus on our 3 incredible kids and their future endeavors and our friendship."

This comes after Rep. Cawthorn and his wife split up because he was too focused on his career and put a spotlight on them she never expected.

Then Cawthorn lost his primary race, and his political career was ended before it ever really got started.

I do not suspect that will be the case with MTG.

I think she will dig in even harder and dedicate herself to this job to make Democrats miserable.
