Since Obama created DACA, conservatives have been screaming "unconstitutional."
That order was the very definition of overreach and abuse of power.
Obama's order has finally been ended, and now Joe Biden is about to have a cardiac.
Was Never Legal
After the ruling, Biden stated, "I am disappointed in today's Fifth Circuit decision holding that DACA is unlawful.
"The court's stay provides a temporary reprieve for DACA recipients, but one thing remains clear: the lives of Dreamers remain in limbo.
"Today's decision is the result of continued efforts by Republican state officials to strip DACA recipients of the protections and work authorization that many have now held for over a decade."
The problem is those protections were never legal.
Obama circumvented Congress and abused his power, and a wrong has finally been righted.
Biden also lied a bit in his rant, which I am sure surprises you.
The court was lenient to those in the program, saying they could stay, but it stated that new enrollment is forbidden.
Secretary Mayorkas also chimed in, stating, "I am deeply disappointed by today's DACA ruling and the ongoing uncertainty it creates for families and communities across the country.
"We are currently reviewing the court's decision and will work with the Department of Justice on an appropriate legal response.
"As a result of the stay that remains in place, no one who currently has DACA will lose their protection from removal or work authorization.
"Consistent with that stay, DHS will continue to accept the filing of both initial and renewal DACA applications, but will process only the DACA renewal requests."
Dems are acting like the appeals court did something wrong here.
The fact of the matter is that Obama broke the law when he put DACA in place.
He did not follow the rules requirement of the federal Administrative Procedures Act.
Now they have egg on their face and they don't like it one bit.
