Fetterman Campaign Walks Back Promise of Freeing Second-degree Murderers

In May 2021, John Fetterman made a post on Twitter that has resurfaced.

Quite frankly, I am surprised it took this long.

It is either lack of oppo research by Mehmet Oz or it was being held back as an October surprise to derail his campaign.

We Take It Back

I have reported on Fetterman's record of freeing murderers during this campaign, and this post by Fetterman from May of last year backs that up…

And then there is this going back even further to prove this is not just a whim for him, but a true passion...

Now that Fetterman is losing ground over his radical efforts to empty PA prisons, he is starting to walk some of this back.

Fetterman's campaign responded that the candidate "supports common sense criminal justice reforms that keep Pennsylvanians safe and protected while saving taxpayers money.

"He believes there are people who deserve to spend the rest of their life in prison for the crimes they've committed.

"But the decision to do this should be left to judges and parole boards not politicians in Harrisburg."

That, of course, is an outright lie.

If Fetterman had not been called out on this and had not seen a double-digit lead disappear, he would still be trying to let murderers go free.

This is something that Fetterman wants to do at a federal level, so please, if you live in PA, do not fall for this garbage.

This man is dangerous, and he cannot be permitted to enter the Senate.
