Fetterman calls out Dems for dramatics over Trump’s joint session address

As I am sure most of you know by now, Democrats had a literal meltdown over the Trump address before Congress this week.

Rep. Al Green (D-TX) was escorted out, Dems wore pink to show their support for women, even though they voted against legislation to protect women’s sports, they used paddles to make points during Trump’s speech, and several of them walked out mid-speech in protest.

Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) believes they are overreacting and only helping Trump rather than hurting his case to the American people.

The Voice of Reason

Shockingly, Fetterman has been one of the more reasonable Democrats in office since Trump took office.

While he has voted against most of Trump’s nominees, he has supported some of the less controversial ones.

His biggest impact, however, has been not joining in on the Chicken Little narratives about Trump being in office.

He took that same approach after virtually the entire party had a meltdown over Trump’s national address before a joint session of Congress this week.

Fetterman stated, “A sad cavalcade of self-owns and unhinged petulance. It only makes Trump look more presidential and restrained.

“We’re becoming the metaphorical car alarms that nobody pays attention to — and it may not be the winning message.”

There were two more issues here that will really hurt Democrats.

First and foremost is the fact they did not applaud a young cancer survivor who was made an honorary member of the Secret Service. It was embarrassing, to say the least.

Second, polling during and after the speech was dramatically in Trump’s favor, so this is just showing how out of tune with the American people the Democrat Party really is.

This is a point that was not lost on former Obama adviser David Axelrod, who shredded Rep. Al Green (D-TX) for refusing to sit down, even after he was warned by Speaker Johnson (R-LA) that he would be removed if there were further disturbances.

As I have stated before… today’s politicians are nothing more than social media junkies trying to do or say something that will go viral so they can make a few bucks. They are not serious legislators, and they prove it with these ridiculous antics and endless flow of social media videos.

Sit down. Negotiate. Legislate. But I fear this environment will only get worse because most of the country is buying into these theatrics on both sides of the aisle. It’s like sporting events where we complain about the high price of tickets but keeping paying to go.

Until We the People do something about it, there will never be any change.
