Fetterman Breaks with Democrats in Senate

For all the attacks against Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) during his Senate election, he has proven to be more of a problem for Democrats than Republicans.

For instance, Fetterman has not been afraid to voice his support for Israel, going against the party whose members are overwhelmingly supporting a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas.

But that is far from the first time that Fetterman has called out his fellow Democrats.

Changing Lanes

When Fetterman was running, even though his record and statements were clearly progressive in nature, he tried to shed that label during the election and even now after having been in office for two years.

Even though he often dresses like a hobo in the Senate, usually donning shorts, sneakers, and a hoodie, he has been calling out Democrats.

In addition to his support for Israel, he was among the first in Congress to call for the resignation of Senator Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) when he was indicted in a massive bribery scandal.

Fetterman had called Menendez, “A real slimeball.”

During a recent interview with Fox News’ Chad Pergram, Fetterman also expressed his different opinion regarding the border compared to most Democrats.

He stated, “When you started just following the numbers that are coming again and then when you’ve reached 200,000 or 250,000 folks that are encountered at the border – I mean that’s astonishing. And then just putting that in the context of Pennsylvania.

“I was like, ‘Oh my goodness. That’s nearly the size of Pittsburgh.’ And that’s our second-largest city.

“You can be very pro-immigration, but also demand and require that we have a secure border there as well. I don’t know why that’s really controversial for a Democrat or any American to be pro-immigration.”

Joe Biden made it a point to parade Fetterman around during the election, but have you noticed that Biden has been avoiding him like the plague as of late?

It is just rather ironic that Democrats are quietly turning against someone who they literally changed the dress code for in the Senate.

Something tells me that if Fetterman keeps this up, he will find himself being primaried in 2028.
