Feinstein Told How to Vote During Committee

I think most of us would agree that the time has come for Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) to retire.

Now it has become apparent that her fellow Democrats see her as nothing more than a vote for their cause.

During a recent committee hearing, Feinstein started to ramble like Joe Biden, at which point Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) all but told her to shut up and just vote “aye,” reported NBC News.

Just Say ‘Aye’

Feinstein, at 90, is recovering from shingles and several other ailments that recently occurred. She should be home, not sitting in committee trying to figure out what everyone is saying.

During a hearing for the Senate Appropriations Committee, they were voting on Defense Department spending, reported The Hill.

Feinstein, who looks like a zombie, started to explain her support for the measure, stating, “I would like to support a yes vote on this, it provides $823 billion. That’s an increase of $26 billion for the Department of Defense and it funds priorities submitted…”

Senator Murray, clearly was not interested, telling Feinstein, “Just vote ‘Aye.’ Just say ‘Aye.’”

When Feinstein tried to say something else, Murray just kept cutting her off and ordering her to “Just say ‘Aye.’”

Feinstein’s office tried to explain this away, stating, “Trying to complete all of the appropriations bills before recess, the committee markup this morning was a little chaotic, constantly switching back and forth between statements, votes, and debate and the order of bills.

“The senator was preoccupied, didn’t realize debate had just ended and a vote was called. She started to give a statement, was informed it was a vote and then cast her vote.”

If she cannot keep track of the hearing process, how is she supposed to be able to process what the hell is going on during these hearings?

Right now, all she is is an empty vessel being run by her staff and fellow Senate Democrats.

She needs to step down.
