Federal Judges Boycott Pro-Palestinian Universities

Free speech is a constitutional right in this country, but that does not mean there are no repercussions for that speech.

And while we have free speech, that does not mean that you can take over a college campus and destroy property.

Students at universities who are participating in these protests and who had hopes of pursuing a legal career just got a brutal wake-up call.

Not Happening

This week, 13 federal judges announced that they would not be hiring any law clerks from Columbia University due to the pro-Palestine protests at the school.

The blatant antisemitism that we have seen on these campuses was more than enough for the judges to decide they do not want any parts of students coming from that environment.

The judges' statement read, “Considering recent events and absent extraordinary change, we will not hire anyone who joins the Columbia University community—whether as undergraduates or law students—beginning with the entering class of 2024.”

The letter continued, “Since the October 7 terrorist attacks by Hamas, Columbia University has become ground zero for the explosion of student disruptions, anti-semitism, and hatred for diverse viewpoints on campuses across the Nation.”

U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit Judges James Ho and Elizabeth Branch are leading the effort.

These are the same two judges that boycotted Yale in 2022 as well as Stanford in 2023.

The difference this time is that in previous boycotts, the judges joined the letter anonymously, while this time, most of the judges revealed their names.

This is a very strong statement from these judges, but unfortunately, this represents less than 1.5% of all federal judges in the country.

Sadly, with the state of higher learning these days, I would imagine that for every one judge who speaks out against them, at least 10 judges will look to hire these protesters.

You guys know my position in this by now.

As far as I am concerned, if you are supporting Palestine, you are supporting a terror state. Therefore, you have no place in this country.

Unfortunately, we even have members of Congress who are siding with Palestine over Israel, which is an absolute and utter disgrace.
