Federal judge says New Jersey's ban on AR-15 rifles unconstitutional

The gun-grabbing liberals across America are NOT going to like this one.

I'm sure you know at least one of them, the type of people who want to disband America's 2nd Amendment despite knowing so little about the topic that they think  the "AR" in "AR-15" stands for "assault rifle."

They just received their worst nightmare...

U.S. District Judge Peter Sheridan has ruled that New Jersey's ban on the AR-15 rifle is unconstitutional.

The judge didn't go as far as he could have, however.

Sheridan did leave the state's cap on magazines over ten rounds intact, saying that rule "passes constitutional muster."

Judge Peter Sheridan claimed in his 69-page decision that he ruled as he did "because of the Supreme Court's rulings in firearms cases, particularly the 2022 Bruen decision that expanded gun rights."

Sheridan pleased conservatives and angered liberals with the decision to AR-15 rifles should be legal.

Sheridan pleased liberals and angered conservatives with his decision that it was fine to cap magazine capacity at ten rounds.

As a result, both sides appear to be planning to appeal the decision.

According to ABC News, "Sheridan's ruling left both 2nd Amendment advocates and the state attorney general planning appeals. The judge temporarily delayed the order for 30 days."

"It is hard to accept the Supreme Court’s pronouncements that certain firearms policy choices are ‘off the table’ when frequently, radical individuals possess and use these same firearms for evil purposes," Sheridan wrote.

He continued, "Where the Supreme Court has set for the law of our Nation, as a lower court, I am bound to follow it... This principle — combined with the reckless inaction of our governmental leaders to address the mass shooting tragedy afflicting our Nation — necessitates the Court’s decision."
