FBI had 26 confidential sources in DC during J6 unrest: Report

The J6 riots have been the subject of massive speculation ever since the moment they happened in 2021.

Since then, America has been treated to lies, false reports, and rumors about what really happened that day. Luckily, we might finally be getting a little peek at the truth.

According to the Washington Examiner, "Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz confirmed Thursday that the FBI used confidential sources as part of its response to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol unrest, a revelation that lends clarity to an aspect of the event that has long been a source of speculation."

Horowitz's report has been hotly anticipated for a while, so it's no surprise that America's REALLY invested in the 84 pages that were just released.

In the report, Horowitz admitted that 26 FBI sources were in Washington for the demonstration.

It doesn't exactly mean that the whole thing was an inside job, but it does prove that there was a LOT of government influence in the crowd that day.

According to the report, "some of them were embedded among rioters in restricted areas, and four FBI sources also entered the Capitol with the rioters. He noted, however, that the FBI did not authorize any of those sources, also known as informants or 'confidential human sources,' to enter restricted areas or the Capitol or to otherwise break the law."

While many civilians have been charged for their involvement in the Jan 6 events, exactly zero FBI sources who entered the restricted areas have faced even a single charge.

Horowitz tried to save himself by claiming that "no FBI employees, which are different than the FBI confidential human sources, were working undercover at the riot."

The Department of Justice has charged more than 1,500 people in connection to the riot in the four years since it happened. Hundreds of them have even faced very serious charges such as assaulting police officers or destroying property.

It definitely doesn't absolve these rioters of their actions, but the fact that the FBI had an undercover presence in the crowd that day lends itself to speculation that the feds might not have hated to see Trump supporters out of control.

With that many FBI-linked people in the crowd, could none of them have helped curb the violence that day?

Maybe, just maybe, they did the exact opposite.

Could it be possible that the 26 people helped incite the violence, as some Trump supporters have claimed?

Hopefully, we find out the truth very soon.
