FBI Arrests 3 January 6 Participants

On the campaign trail, Donald Trump continues to refer to January 6 rioters as patriots, with Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) recently calling them “hostages.”

Well, Trump and Stefanik will be very upset to know that three more individuals who were at the Capitol on January 6 were just arrested.

Ironically, the FBI waited until January 6, 2024, to arrest them, the third anniversary of the riot.

You’re Under Arrest

The FBI reported that Jonathan Daniel Pollock, his sister Olivia Michele Pollock, and Joseph Daniel Hutchinson III were all taken into custody on Saturday for their roles in the January 6 riots.

The three of them were scheduled to appear in court on January 8.

After taking the three into custody, the FBI stated, “No further details concerning their capture are available at this time.”

The FBI had a $30,000 reward for information that led to the arrest of Jonathon Pollack leading up to his arrest.

Pollack allegedly attacked police during the riot, using a riot shield that was apparently taken from the police.

Olivia Pollack had a scheduled hearing, but she disappeared in March before she ever made it to the courtroom.

Hutchinson had also gone missing prior to his trial. He was reportedly a co-worker of the Pollack’s at the family-owned gun shop in Lakeland, FL.

Of the more than 1,000 people arrested for the riot, 718 have pleaded out their case, while 139 were convicted at trial.

Joe Biden used the events of that day during his speech on Friday, stating, “Donald Trump’s campaign is obsessed with the past, not the future. He’s willing to sacrifice democracy to put himself in power.

“Trump’s assault on democracy isn’t just part of his past, it’s what he’s promising with the future. He’s being straightforward. He’s not hiding the ball.”

After Biden’s speech, Trump immediately responded, calling the speech a “pathetic fearmongering campaign event,” adding, “Joe Biden’s record is an unbroken streak of weakness, incompetence, corruption and failure. Other than that, he’s doing quite well.”

This will become a major focus of the Democrat Party if Trump wins the nomination, especially since Trump has stated that he would pardon the January 6 defendants if he becomes president again.

That needs to be noted because if Trump pardons anyone who has been convicted of sedition, Democrats will likely try to impeach him via the same amendment they are trying to disqualify him from office over.

Section III of the 14th Amendment disqualifies anyone who has participated in or given aid and comfort to insurrectionists. Democrats will make the argument that the pardon qualifies as giving aid, setting up Trump for his third impeachment trial.
