Fani Willis Wins Decision in Young Thug Trial
Fulton County DA Fani Willis has been getting crushed in the two biggest cases of her tenure in office.
In addition to the Trump case, which is now on hold pending a motion to have her dismissed from the case, she also has a massive case against rapper Young Thung and 27 of his associates on gang-related crimes.
While Willis has been losing motion after motion, she finally scored a win in that case.

One of the defendants in the case, Deamonte Kendrick, was seeking a mistrial over the recent developments in the case.
The case against Young Thung and his associates started to fall apart after the presiding judge at the time, prosecutors, and a hostile witness had a meeting behind closed doors.
The witness did not want to testify against the rapper, so the judge and prosecutors reportedly held a meeting to try to convince the witness to come forward.
Defense attorneys immediately cried foul, with one of them being held in contempt for his statements on the matter.
After the outcry, Judge Glanville, who was the presiding judge at the time, told the defense team, "My colleagues in federal court would probably jail most of you, and for those of you who have practiced in federal court, this is not the way it goes.
"From the state's perspective as well as the defense perspective, everything's filed in advance. So why should you do anything less in this courtroom?"
Eventually, the judge was removed from the case, then a second judge who had been assigned the case was recused.
That led to Kendrick testing the waters to have a mistrial declared.
Judge Paige Reese Whitaker, who took over the case, has ruled against the motion, so this trial will continue.
The trial had been running for roughly 100 trail days when it came screeching to a halt, and that was after it took nearly 10 months to choose the jury, so I can see why Judge Whitaker wants to continue the case, but I have to think this case is now ripe for appeal of Young Thug and his associates are found guilty.
