I am starting to think that when people start to lose their minds, politics is where they end up.
The Republican Party, unfortunately, has more than a few whackos in it who are getting headlines for all the wrong reasons.
The latest name to be added to that list is Solomon Peña.
Shoot Them
What Peña was thinking is beyond me.
After losing his election, Peña stated that he believed the election was stolen from him due to voter fraud.
In turn, he went to several lawmakers' homes to show them what he believed was evidence of said fraud.
He has since been accused of firing a gun at one of the lawmakers as well as hiring others to shoot at Democrat lawmakers.
Keep in mind, Peña's election was not even close, yet he is claiming voter fraud.
Even more damning is that Peña considers himself MAGA, once tweeting, "Trump just announced for 2024. I stand with him. I never conceded my HD 14 race."
This maniac, along with Rep. Santos (R-N.Y.) is a nightmare for the Republican Party right now.
As most of you are well aware, anytime one person who affiliates themselves with MAGA steps over the line, the actions of that individual are then used against the entire movement.
It is the same thing as Santos, who I firmly believe is nothing more than a professional grifter. He lied about his entire background to get elected, now Democrats are holding him up as the norm.
Sadly, we have too many members in Congress that are willing to stand behind him even though he has proven to be a complete and utter fraud.
He has even buddied up to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), which has really poured gasoline on a fire that is burning uncontrollably already.
The best thing the party can do to move forward is to decry Pena's actions immediately and start the process of removing Santos from office.
