Enthusiasm for Harris Beginning to Dip

A new YouGov survey on voter enthusiasm backs up a premise I have been writing about here for the last few days.

The more people see Harris, the less they like her.

To that point, the latest survey shows Democratic enthusiasm for the upcoming election dipping from a high of over 70 points to less than 60, with the GOP once again back on top.

The More They See

Over the last four years, Kamala Harris has pretty much been out of sight, out of mind.

After the first few months, it became pretty apparent that Harris could not speak in public and any job handed to her would be screwed up.

She was slowly pulled back, and for most of the last 36 months, she has not been in the public eye.

Everyone seemed to forget how much they hated her and when she was named the nominee, the excitement in the party to vote went from just about 40 to over 70 points.

Harris has been out on the campaign trail for about six weeks, and over the last two weeks, that enthusiasm has started to fade…

Harris is refusing to hold press conferences and has had one major interview, yet Trump is just about everywhere, every day.

Now Harris is hiding out until the debate on the 10th, with everything hanging in the balance.

Her plan is to lure Donald Trump into a personal attack war, and if she is successful, it will hurt Trump, but Trump did very well against Biden, and I think most of us are expecting the same.

My guess here is that if Harris tanks the debate, that enthusiasm will dip back below 50% and Dems are going to be hurting for turnout on election day.
