There are plenty of Democrats in Congress that will be absolutely delighted by this story, as sick as their minds work.
On Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was rushed into surgery for an emergency heart procedure.
The PM had been admitted to the hospital almost a week prior after having lost consciousness and taking a fall, reported the Daily Wire.
Scary Moments
This all started last Saturday when Netanyahu scared everyone by taking that fall, where he hit his head. Initially, the cause was suspected dehydration, but it turned out to be far more serious.
Netanyahu then made a video to explain what happened.
He stated, “I want to update you on what’s going to happen.
“Last week they gave me a monitoring device. The device beeped and said I need a pacemaker, and I need to do that already tonight. I feel great, but I listen to my doctors.
“The doctors tell me that I will be free tomorrow afternoon already.
“I will be discharged from the hospital ready to arrive at the Knesset for the vote.”
Things clearly did not work out as expected, with Netanyahu being rushed into surgery.
While Netanyahu is out, Justice Minister Yariv Levin will resume the duties as the acting prime minister.
The most recent report from the New York Times noted that Netanyahu had been fitted for a pacemaker and had it installed during the surgery.
The timing of this, while obviously could not be helped, could not be worse for the Prime Minister.
Israel has been in a state of unrest, which continues to intensify with every passing day.
On Sunday, for instance, there were massive protests in Israel and Tel Aviv on both sides of the argument for the judicial overhaul that has been proposed by Netanyahu.
In addition to the unrest, Netanyahu is now facing a possible revolt from military reservists who say they will refuse to report if the overhaul is successful. This is a significant problem for the Israeli military, as it is heavily reliant on its reservists.
This has led to a bit of an uprising from retired army chiefs, former police commissioners, and former directors of foreign and domestic intelligence agencies, eerily familiar of the 51 former officials that stated the laptop appeared to be Russian disinformation.
Collectively, they penned an open letter to Netanyahu, calling him “the person directly responsible for the serious damage to the I.D.F. and Israel’s security.”
Yet again, we have the left facing off against the right, with the right being deemed demons, and the left creating unrest and rioting. It just seems to be how they do business these days.
