Emails dug up in the National Archives from the America First Legal group has just brought more attention to the Hunter Biden problem for both Joe Biden and the Obama administration.
The Daily Mail reported that emails were flying back and forth once Hunter was appointed to the Burisma board.
They also were monitoring Hunter Biden after he was booted from the Navy Reserve for cocaine use.
He's a Problem
When Hunter was first appointed to the no-show job, a Russian reporter reached out to Biden for comment.
She wrote to his office, "Mr. Hunter Biden has recently become a member of Committee of Directors of Burisma company. We would like to congratulate him and wish him good luck!
"Would you be so kind to help us to organize an interview with Mr. Joseph Biden so that he could tell us his attitude towards and tell us if it will influence the foreign policy of the USA."
Biden's staff gushed over the letter, but Joe thought it best not to give the interview and draw attention to the matter.
Kendra Barkoff, who was Joe's spokesperson at the time was hit up by ABC News on the matter, and responded, "The lawyers weren't consulted because Hunter is a private citizen and the VP has no association with this company."
The journalist, Ann Compton, would not let it go. She replied, "OFF the record doesn't help. I would however be willing to use this with or without quoting YOU."
Barkoff seemed panicked, reaching out to Hunter Directly at one point, with Hunter replying, "What exactly are they asking? For the time being I'd just refer them to my office. FYI I joined the board of Burisma Holdings Ltd….an independent/private natural gas producer in Ukraine along with the former president of Poland. I think the press release is on their web site."
There is also this Fox News report on the matter…
This is just the tip of the iceberg on this front, as Republicans are digging deep and not expected to let up until they find something.
