Dr. Phil tells Selena Gomez 'rapists don't deserve your tears'
Pop star Selena Gomez recently posted a video online that featured her sobbing after learning that Donald Trump is serious about his nationwide crackdown on illegal immigration.
It didn't take long for Gomez to realize that she had made a mistake, deleting the video almost instantly. She must have forgotten that the internet is forever, however. The public had already saved the video.
Now, Dr. Phil is chiming in about the video, telling the Only Murders in the Building star some advice: "dry your eyes because you look out of touch."
Before we get to Dr. Phil's reaction, take a look at Gomez's video:
Selena Gomez shares emotional Instagram Story about the deportation of Mexican people:
“All my people are getting attacked, the children. I don’t understand. I’m so sorry, I wish I could do something but I can’t. I don’t know what to do. I’ll try everything, I promise.” pic.twitter.com/il8pPXYZma

It didn't take long for Dr. Phil to analyze what was actually happening in the video:
"I certainly don’t think she was crying for these individuals," Dr. Phil said. She seemed to me to be very sincere in her empathy for these individuals, but I’m not sure who she was identifying with. I don’t think she would relate to the people that we’re taken down in this operation."
Dr. Phil McGraw has seen first-hand the types of people Trump's federal government has been scooping up, and he said that there weren't any "children" in the mix.
"I certainly don’t think she was crying for these individuals," Dr. Phil said. "I wanted to see [the raids] for myself. There were no restrictions. There was no room I couldn’t go into. There was no meeting I couldn’t attend," Phil said of his time embedded with ICE in Chicago.
"[ICE agents] are focusing on the worst first. That is the way they describe it and I was able to see how much investigative work they put in to these targets," Dr. Phil added.
JUST IN: The first arrest in Chicago with @RealTomHoman was a convicted sex offender and internet predator from Thailand.

It's clear that Gomez has no idea how dangerous these people really are, and was simply trying to score internet points with other "woke" Americans.
