Maryanne Trump Barry, sister of former President Donald Trump, died Monday in New York at the age of 86.
Her passing was confirmed by the New York City Police Department after her body was found in her apartment Monday morning.

"Barry was a former federal appellate judge who retired in April 2019, according to the New York Times. The newspaper, citing people familiar with the matter, reports that she passed away at her home in New York City's Manhattan borough, with one person saying she was found this morning," Fox News reported.
"In 2016, Trump called his sister a 'highly respected judge' while noting they disagree on public policy issues," it added.

"There were no indications of trauma or malevolence. The sources also added that emergency personnel had attended to a call from 'a person experiencing cardiac arrest,'" OANN reported.
"Up until her retirement in 2019, Barry served as a senior judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. In 1983, then-President Ronald Reagan appointed her to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Later, in 1999, then-President Bill Clinton nominated her to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit," it continued.
Maryanne Trump Barry is the third Trump sibling to pass away. The former president's brother, Robert Trump, passed away in 2020. Another brother, Fred, passed away at the age of 42.
Barry announced that she would stop hearing cases after her brother was sworn in as president in 2017.
The news of her passing comes as the former president seeks a comeback bid for the White House in 2024 despite multiple legal battles.
So far, Trump's poll numbers have shown his far ahead of GOP contenders, despite the difficult road that now includes the loss of his older sister.
