Don Trump Jr. Speaks Out About Nikki Haley VP Rumors

Donald Trump Jr. has ruled out Nikki Haley as a potential running mate for his father, former President Donald Trump, in the upcoming election.

During a recent interview with Newsmax's Eric Bolling, Trump Jr. expressed his strong opposition to Haley and asserted his determination to prevent her from being selected as the vice presidential candidate.

He criticized Haley's perceived alignment with the Washington establishment, describing her as a puppet of the billionaire class seeking control.

Despite Haley's surge in the 2024 GOP primary polls, where she came within four points of Trump in an American Research Group survey, Trump Jr. remains steadfast in his opposition.

The former U.N. ambassador, who served in the Trump administration from 2017 to 2018, has faced speculation about her potential candidacy for vice president, fueled in part by former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' campaign has also engaged in teasing her as a potential running mate through the launch of a dedicated website for "Trump-Nikki 2024."

While Trump has sought opinions from his confidants on Haley's suitability for the vice presidency, she has downplayed such aspirations, emphasizing her reluctance to settle for second place and criticizing Trump for the "chaos and drama" she contends follows him.

Donald Trump Jr., however, has taken note of Haley's increasing popularity in the polls and has disparaged DeSantis, claiming that the Florida governor lacks the necessary qualities for the political stage.

Lara Trump, Donald Trump Jr.'s sister-in-law, has expressed openness to the idea of a Trump-Haley ticket, acknowledging that "crazier things have happened."

Despite varying opinions within the MAGA movement, with some figures like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene predicting a revolt if Haley were considered, the national RealClearPolitics aggregate places Trump at the forefront of the 2024 GOP pack, followed by DeSantis and Haley.
