DOJ Files Charges Against Left-wing Activist Filming During J6 Riot

There has been a bit of a surprise development in the January 6 prosecutions by the Department of Justice.

The trial of 29-year-old John Earle Sullivan has just about concluded, and prosecutors pointed the finger at the left-wing activist as one of the instigators of the January 6 riot. This is something that both Trump and his supporters have claimed from the outset, that there were outside influencers that were not there for the rally, but instead there solely with nefarious intent.

Now the question is if he will be sentenced as stiffly as the right-wing instigators, some of whom have received almost or more than two-decade sentences.

Just Filming

Sullivan was there to document the day on film, but he was also clearly trying to egg people on.

For instance, in videos, he can be heard saying things like, "We gotta get this sh** burned,” Iit’s our house mother***ers," and "we are getting this shi**."

To make matters worse for Sullivan, there is also a call where he stated, "I brought my megaphone to instigate s---,” and to "make those Trump supporters f--- s--- up."

Sullivan’s Defense team strategy could not have been worse, trying to say that regardless of his words, he was only there to film, not actually take part in the riot, but even that gets blown out of the water by his own words.

Sullivan was there was Ashli Babbitt was shot and killed by Capitol Police Officer ​​Lt. Michael Byrd.

During that segment of the video, he can be heard saying, "Hey guys, I have a knife. I have a knife. Let me up.”

His defense team claims he really did not have a knife, that again, this was all talk.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Barclay stated, "It does not matter whether Sullivan was holding a camera to record his crimes. He incited the mob at every step. He knew why he was there that day. He wanted to tear it all down.”

Assistant U.S. Attorney Rebekah Lederer added, “Everything that came out of his mouth was a ploy.

"He came to engage in chaos.”

I would say this, based on the prosecutors' comments and the video of Sullivan, anything less than 10 years would be a complete joke, and it should be more than 15 if he is going to be on par with the more serious instigators we have seen thus far.

We are about to find out just how blind Lady Justice really is.
