Biden’s DOJ has been doing everything possible to take down Trump and anyone associated with him.
That would now seemingly include inventing charges against some of Trump’s associates.
One of those cases was just tossed, and Merrick Garland will have some explaining to do.
No Business
According to the suit, Steve Wynn had approached the Trump administration about a Chinese citizen on behalf of the Chinese government.
This would have made him a foreign agent, only Wynn was not registered as a foreign agent.
The individual in question has been charged with corruption in China and the government wanted the claim for asylum to be denied.
The court dismissed the case because Wynn’s business with the Chinese had concluded before the alleged lobbying.
The judge did not make a decision on whether the lobbying took place.
He also left the door open for the DOJ to possibly come after Wynn for criminal sanctions for failing to disclose the alleged lobbying as long as the statute of limitations had not expired.
Wynn’s attorneys stated, “This is a claim that should never have been filed, and the court agreed.”
For now, Trump and Wynn are out of the woods in this case, but I am pretty sure the DOJ will still try to come after him regarding the lobbying claim.
