DOJ Recommends Six Months for Bannon

That hardened criminal, Steve Bannon, is about to learn his fate.

The man that stood up to Congress and was eventually indicted on contempt of Congress will be formally sentenced on Friday.

Merrick Garland and the Department of Justice would like to see him do six months behind bars.

Going to the Pokey

I am not sure who the sentencing judge will be here, but Bannon better hope for a Trump judge.

If that doesn’t happen, he will more than likely find himself in an orange jumpsuit pretty soon.

The DOJ sent its recommendation to the court for his sentence.

It stated, “The Defendant’s bad-faith strategy of defiance and contempt deserves severe punishment.

“This Court should impose a sentence of six months’ imprisonment, reflecting the most severe Guidelines-compliant punishment available, and fine the Defendant $200,000.”

Bannon has one more legal issue on his docket.

He has been indicted in New York for his part in an alleged scam to defraud donors of the “We Build the Wall” organization.
