Does Joe Biden Face Excommunication for Joining the Freemason Lodge?
One day before leaving office, reports surfaced that Joe Biden had been admitted as a Master Mason to the Prince Hall Lodge of South Carolina.
Biden was “conferred” with membership and “full honors.”
Now, the question is if Joe, as a Catholic, will be excommunicated from the Catholic Church, as it has long been deemed a sin punishable by excommunication to join the Masons.
Did Joe Really Join
At the heart of this issue is if Joe Biden really joined or if this was just an “honor” paid to him.
The “conferred” is key in all of this because the Catholic Church has forbidden Catholics from “joining” the Freemasons since the 1700s.
If Biden was merely bestowed the membership, an argument could be made that he did not “join,” and this is nothing but a ceremonial membership.
Biden clearly did not go through the usual protocols, so the argument could be made that he did not actually join while being considered a member of the group.
Again, I realize we are talking semantics here, but realize this is the argument the Pope will make if he decides to give Biden a pass.
In the announcement by the Prince Hall Grand Lodge, it stated that Biden was granted “resolution of membership” by the lodge in recognition of his “exceptional dedication and service to the United States” which “reflects the core values of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the State of South Carolina, including brotherly love, relief, and truth.”
Notice it did not state if Biden accepted the membership, so I still don’t know if he is actually even a member.
Considering how the Pope has bent over backward to allow Biden to remain in the church while openly touting abortion laws, I am going to stick my neck out and say he will make another excuse for Biden regarding the Masons.
Do you agree?
