Parents Council Disbanded by Biden’s Education Department

The Biden administration just made a major concession to conservative parents.

The National Parents and Families Engagement Council has been disbanded.

The decision was made after numerous parental rights groups sued the administration.

End It

There is more to this than meets the eye, I can tell you that right now.

While this is a big win for conservative parents, I am looking deeper at how quickly the administration folded on this position.

For me, that means they knew they were wrong and were trying to pull a fast one on conservative parents.

The council was formed with the mission of finding "constructive ways to help families engage at the local level."

The parental groups sued the administration on the grounds the council was politically biased and violated federal law.

This is far from the first time this administration has been accused of such behavior.

The groups that filed suit were the Fight for Schools, Parents Defending Education, and America First Legal groups.

They claimed the new council violated Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) provisions.

Based on how quickly Biden folded on this, we have to think they knew they were violating these provisions and knew their case would not stand up in court.

Parents Defending Education President Nicole Neily stated, "We are gratified that Secretary Cardona's Potemkin village 'Parents Council' will be disbanded, because families should never be used merely as props to advance progressive policies.

"Parental engagement is essential for students to succeed; accordingly, it is critical that ALL voices and perspectives be integrated into any feedback mechanism that the Biden Administration operates - and that the Department of Education respect the rule of law."

According to the suit, 80 percent of the members of the council were financial donors of Joe Biden's.

We have also seen this with some major appointments, most notably a Soros staffer that is currently held up in Congress.

The suit continued, "To have a fair balance of viewpoints and competent deliberation on students' needs, there must be fairly equal representation from both sides of the political spectrum.

"That is not the case here, as the Council consists of groups that are already supportive of this administration."

Again, I cannot state enough that the fact Biden folded on this so quickly, they knew they were breaking provisions and decided to push it forward anyway.

It is just a shame the media refuses to report on these narratives.
