Director Wray Confirms Concern Over Gotaways at the Border

If you ever want to hear someone talk about how bad the border situation is without actually saying it, you have to hear the testimony of FBI Director Wray before Congress.

Wray was asked about the concern of gotaways as a national security threat.

Let’s just say that rather than being brutally honest, he was very careful in the words he selected to describe the situation.

Concerned

Wray was testifying before the House Homeland Security Committee about the worldwide threats to our country.

Chairman Mark Green (R-TN) was questioning Wray about the number of gotaways we have seen at the border.

In Fiscal Year 2023, that number was estimated to be about 600,000, but that is more than likely on the conservative side of estimates.

Since Biden has been in office, Green noted that the number of gotaways is likely around two million, which clearly presents a threat to national security.

Green asked, "Can the FBI guarantee American people that known or suspected terrorists, including any from Hamas or other terror groups, are not amongst those gotaways?"

Wray was very purposeful in his answer to protect Biden, stating, "Well, certainly the group of people that you're talking about are source of great concern for us. That's why we're aggressively using all 56 of our joint terrorism task forces.”

What I would like, just once, is for someone to give a truly honest answer when they are in the hot seat rather than worrying about protecting the man in the Oval Office.

Among those gotaways are gang members, cartel members, gun runners, human traffickers, drug mules, and terrorists.

These people only need to be a minuscule percentage to put national security at risk.

Think about it… if just .001 of all gotaways are terrorists, that means there are now 600 terrorists operating within our border… is anyone reading this comfortable with that number? I know I am not.
