House GOP Leader Diagnosed with Cancer

Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), the House Majority Leader, has already had more than his fair share of tribulations in this lifetime.

Now he has to go through one more… Cancer.

On Tuesday, Scalise blew up social media by revealing that he had been diagnosed with cancer and had already started his treatment, reported AP News.

This Guy

Scalise made the announcement via Twitter.

In part, he posted, “After a few days of not feeling like myself this past week, I had some blood work done. The results uncovered some irregularities and after undergoing additional tests, I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a very treatable blood cancer,” reported Breitbart.

Thankfully, it does appear that he will be able to get his treatment and have a full recovery… we hope.

This is just one shot against a man who was literally shot for being a politician.

If you recall, a psychotic supporter of Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) shot Scalise during a congressional baseball game.

The shooting occurred in June 2017 at Eugene Simpson Stadium Park in Alexandria, Virginia.

In all, six people were shot during the mass shooting.

James Hodgkinson was identified as the shooter, but here is the really crazy thing…

Even though he supported Bernie Sanders, nobody actually blamed Sanders for the shooting. Isn’t it funny how that narrative changes when some whacked-out far right-winger shoots someplace up and it immediately becomes the fault of Donald Trump or just the GOP in general?

Scalise is as strong as an ox, so I have little doubt he will fight this and come out on the other side as the winner.

Mr. Scalise, you are definitely in our thoughts and we will all be thinking about you.

You need to recover from this because we need you in this fight, sir!
