More and more details are emerging about the man who attacked Paul Pelosi, husband of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
Democrats are going to regret the conclusions they have jumped to on this man.
They should have waited before pointing the blame, but now it is coming back to bite them.
Who is DePape?
An ex-girlfriend of DePape's, Oxane Taub, has provided some background on him.
She stated, "He is mentally ill. He has been mentally ill for a long time.
"When I met him, he was only 20 years old, and he didn't have any experience in politics, and he was very much in alignment with my views and I've always been very progressive.
"I absolutely admire Nancy Pelosi."
When they checked DePape's home, he had an LGBTQ+ flag hanging outside.
He also happened to be an illegal immigrant, coming here from Canada nearly two decades ago but overstaying.
It has also been revealed that while he was at the January 6 rally, he was NOT in favor of the riot that took place.
He is clearly disturbed, but it seems more like he was upset with the constant lies by Pelosi and other politicians, not an actual ideology issue.
Democrats jumped on this the moment they found out he was DC on January 6, but they should have waited until all the facts came out.
It now appears they are holding the GOP accountable for the actions of one of their own.
