ABC News is now in the petty business.
The network recently leaked tapes of two Florida politicians that are supporting Donald Trump doing debate prep with DeSantis for the 2018 election.
The two Republicans are Reps. Matt Gaetz and Byron Donalds, both from Florida, and both of whom have already backed Trump in the presidential election, reports Fox News.
To What Purpose
This is truly about as petty as it gets, and the tapes really reveal nothing.
This was ABC's gotcha moment, I guess.
Matt Gaetz has already responded to the leak, stating, "I ran the Desantis Debate Prep in 2018. Though I prefer Trump for President (bigly), the release of these videos by the person operating the camera is disloyal hackery that I do not abide. Staffers who leak on the candidates they've done work for deserve the reputations they get."

Donalds also responded, stating, "I was on the DeSantis Debate prep team. These tapes should not have been leaked. It's low class."

Dave Abrams, a spokesman for DeSantis' political team, responded to the leak, stating, "Another swing and a miss from Disney-funded ABC. The best their propaganda machine could do with the 2.5 hours of leaked footage is further [proof] that Ron DeSantis is unwilling to be anyone but his authentic self – no matter the politics."
Again, whoever sent the tapes to ABC is a child. These are both Florida Republicans who would be expected to help DeSantis get elected any way they possibly could.
Furthermore, it is no big deal that DeSantis did not agree with Trump on every issue, as it is unlikely anyone would agree with him all the time. Even Gaetz has been critical of Trump in certain areas.
At some point, we will find out who leaked them, and we will see in whose camp they reside. I have a feeling people are going to be floored when they find that out.
