DeSantis Takes Shot at DC in Inauguration Speech

There is one man in this country that sounds presidential right now, and he lives in Florida.

Governor Ron DeSantis gave a scathing inaugural speech this week and it is being noticed.

He proclaimed that Florida is “where woke goes to die,” and he also took a nice jab at the clown show that is DC these days.

Get Your Act Together

I have already seen the posts warning about DeSantis because there was a Bush on the inauguration stage.

Whether we like it or not, the Bushes are a big part of Florida politics and deeply embedded. Do not read too much into the fact that Jeb Bush was on that stage.

I think Ron DeSantis’ record speaks far louder than the white noise about Bush, so let’s just put that to rest right now.

During the inauguration, DeSantis stated, “Florida is where woke goes to die!

“We will not allow reality, facts and truth to become optional. We will never surrender to the woke mob.”

He continued, “Florida’s success has been made more difficult by the floundering federal establishment in Washington, DC. It wields its authority through a sprawling, unaccountable and out-of-touch bureaucracy that does not act on behalf of us, but instead looms over us and imposes its will upon us.

“This has caused many to be pessimistic about the country’s future. Some even say that failure is inevitable. Florida is proof positive that we the people are not destined for failure.”

If conservatives are going to unite and push a candidate to take down Joe Biden, this is the man to do it, but everyone has to be on the same page here.

If Trump is ousted from the race and throws a temper tantrum, his supporters are likely to sit on the couch on election day, which means DeSantis would be short about 30 million or so votes, and is unlikely to win.

We needed Trump in 2016 to upset the apple cart and he did. But now he needs to see that it is time to hand this mission off to the next man up, and that man is Ron DeSantis.
