DeSantis Says He Will Put Crist ‘Out to pasture’

Governor Ron DeSantis and Charlie Crist had their one and only debate on Monday.

By most accounts, DeSantis wiped the mat with Crist.

While Crist wanted to talk about 2024, DeSantis vowed to end Crist's career once and for all.

Let's Talk About Today

I love the attack that DeSantis may run for president, so he should not be elected.

Is that not what politicians do?

Did Crist object to Kamala Harris running for office in 2020 after having just been elected to the Senate?

DeSantis sought to get the debate dialed back in, stating, "Well listen, I know that Charlie is interested in talking about 2024 and Joe Biden, but I just want to make things very, very clear: The only worn out, old donkey I'm looking to put out to pasture is Charlie Crist."

Crist, who once ran on the Republican ticket, has now gone full-blown liberal.

DeSantis warned that if Crist was elected, voters should know what gender-affirming care really means.

He stated, "When they say gender-affirming care, they mean giving puberty blockers to teenage girls and teenage boys, they mean doing double mastectomies on young girls, they mean chemically castrating young boys. That is wrong.

"We are not going to allow that to happen in the state of Florida."

As strong as DeSantis' performance was, I doubt it changed the mind of any Kool-Aid drinkers.

And that was fine because he did not need to do that. All he needed to do was hold serve, and he did more than that.
