Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is tired of waiting around.
For more than 600 days he has been waiting for a filing to be approved.
So, instead of allowing Biden to sit on it longer, he is taking the administration to court.
Get Off the Dime!
For almost two years, DeSantis has been waiting for the FDA to approve an application for prescription drugs brought in from Canada.
DeSantis is trying to do this to lower the costs of prescriptions for Florida residents.
DeSantis stated, "I'd hate to think that the Biden admin would not approve it just because it's Florida, because they have issues with Florida politically … because this will benefit people … regardless of political persuasion."
The program is a Joe Biden program that was initiated via Executive Order.
Florida was actually the first state to apply for the program, so what is the hold up?
Simone Marstiller, secretary for the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration, stated, "This has been sitting on someone's desk for 600 days.
"This is not what government is supposed to do."
Governor DeSantis continued to question why the FDA is dragging its feet.
He stated, "After 630 days, you know, we still sit here waiting for an answer. And so it's our view that we've waited long enough.
"We have a right to know what the FDA has been doing the last two years.
"Are they putting politics over patients?
"Are they putting the interest of Big Pharma over the interest of average Floridians?"
You are going to need to answer those questions, Joe… or approve the application.
