There goes that name again… John Durham.
The investigation lasted about four years, and while it had Republicans drooling, had little punch or impact when all was said and done.
Now congressional Republicans are demanding answers about the findings and want to know what this DOJ is doing to fix the issues he mentioned.
Tell Us
I don’t want to discount the Durham probe altogether because, in a different time and place, this would have ruined political careers and likely resulted in some serious charges.
This is not that time, however, because the last president of the United States was Donald Trump, and our entire system is tainted due to its efforts to remove him from power.
There were some staggering revelations in that report, so Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco has agreed to come before the House Judiciary Committee, behind closed doors, of course, and report her findings to Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH).
I want to go on the record right now and say that the fact this hearing is behind closed doors is complete and utter bullsh**. If there is anything the American people have a right to know about, it is how this particular DOJ addressed the problems that Durham found.
Monaco’s appearance is in response to a letter sent to the DOJ by Jordan, which, in part, stated, “It is clear that Congress must consider legislative reforms to the FBI, and the Committee has been engaged in robust oversight to inform those legislative proposals.
“In the interim, however, due to the FBI’s documented political bias, the Justice Department must ensure any ongoing investigations are not poisoned by this same politicization,” reported the Washington Examiner.
In addition to the measures being taken to correct this rogue behavior, how about we get some heads on a platter to hold them accountable for their actions.
And I do not want a sacrificial lamb… just two heads… McCabe and Comey.
