REPORT: Dems Working Behind Scenes to Replace Biden

Joe Biden's 2024 campaign has not exactly been high-energy.

Biden is struggling in the polls, he does not have the energy to barnstorm the country, and he just does not seem overly interested, nor does he seem to have the mental capacity to be the president for another four years.

He is saying the right things, but many of the big-money donors and powers that be in the Democrat Party are buying the act.

So, rumors are now flying that people are meeting behind the scenes to figure out a replacement for Joe in the 2024 presidential election, reports Fox News.

Joe Has to Go

This is the type of report you would expect to show up on Breitbart or the Daily Caller, but it originated from CNN.

The outlet claims that several Democrat aides came forward to tell CNN that the "lack of the more robust campaign activity" is creating concern in the party. The CNN report stated, "The conversations keep happening — quiet whispers on the sidelines of events, texts, emails, furtive phone calls — as top Democrats and donors reach out to those seen as possible replacement presidential candidates."

It continued that the money and power brokers in the party feel that "despite what he has said, despite the campaign that has been announced, President Joe Biden won't actually be running for re-election."

Biden's camp has pushed back on this, stating, "It's a persistent sense that the inner circle of advisers to the president and several of the very few aides who have been hired for his re-election campaign dismiss as absurd. Of course, he is running, they say. Of course, they're taking preparations very seriously."

Obama 2012 campaign manager Jim Messina also chimed in, defending Biden, stating that Biden's team "are so underestimated, and they keep getting it right."

Fundraising tells a different story, according to the report, which claims that big money donors are not committing to Biden and grassroots fundraising is not exactly filling up the register.

Biden, like Trump in 2020, had a huge advantage as the incumbent in that he does have to fight off a serious primary threat.

While Robert Kennedy Jr. is getting some decent attention, he has not yet eclipsed that 50 percent mark, so he is not a real threat to Biden's presidency.

Point being, Biden could be campaigning and filling the coffers for a general election battle, likely against Trump, but he missing the boat on this, almost taking it for granted that he will win simply because he believes that he cannot lose to Trump in a general election.

It is either that, or all that speculation about Biden dropping out in the next few months is deadly accurate.

Personally, I think it is the former, as I just don't see Biden backing away at this point, but I have been wrong before (but I am usually right!).
