Dems Launch Write-in Campaign for Biden in New Hampshire

Joe Biden made the decision to side with Democrats who want to see New Hampshire replaced as the first voting state in the country.

The plan by the DNC was to move Nevada and South Carolina to the front of the pack because they are more diverse than New Hampshire, but New Hampshire did not play along.

Since Biden never registered for the primary, now there is a movement among Democrats to get a write-in vote campaign rolling to avoid the embarrassment of Biden losing the primary.

Write Him In

When Biden first made this decision, he was not being challenged in the party.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has since announced that he will be running as an independent, so Biden would have headed into the primary unchallenged.

That all changed when Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) decided to run against Biden, or, as he puts it, run for the majority of Democrats who want a choice other than Biden on the Democrat ballot.

Jim Demers and Kathy Sullivan are spearheading the effort, but they are only the head of the snake, as there are plenty of big-name Democrats in the state who are working with them to generate a write-in vote that will enable Biden to win the primary.

The website, WriteInBiden.com, states, “The fate of our democracy itself hangs in the balance in the 2024 election.

“That starts with supporting Joe Biden in New Hampshire’s 2024 First in the Nation primary.”

You just have to love how they continue to use that “fate of our democracy” line, as if the party that has terrorist sympathizers and refuses to protect our border is really worried about the future of our democratic republic.

New Hampshire Secretary of State David Scanlan is already taking measures to be able to handle a larger-than-expected number of write-in votes.

He stated, “It’s going to be some extra work. But I fully expect the towns are going to be able to get the volunteers and resources they need to help.”

If Phillips can generate enough support to win the state, this move could backfire on Biden.

I am not saying that Phillips can come anywhere close to winning the nomination, but he may make Biden sweat enough that he is forced to tap into that war chest before the general election, which would be a win for the GOP in my book.
