Democrats Trash Tulsi Gabbard After Trump Nomination

Tulsi Gabbard was one of the most polarizing figures of the 2020 election season.

While she did not make much of a dent in the polls, she was responsible for taking out Kamala Harris with a brutal truth bomb about her days as a prosecutor.

Now, Gabbard is a registered Republican, and it is rather amusing how the entire party hates her, especially now that Trump has offered her a high-profile position in his administration.

Can’t Handle the Truth

When Trump was in office, we saw people on both sides of the aisle flip sides. One of the biggest defections, however, has to be Tulsi Gabbard leaving the Democrat Party after running for president on the Democrat ticket.

When Gabbard dared to run against the likes of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton was dusted off to mount the attacks.

Gabbard had already gained a reputation as a no-nonsense politician who pulled no punches. I had actually written a report for a different publication at the time, believing that Harris or Gabbard could come out on top.

I thought Gabbard had the better chance at the time as a clear moderate.

Hillary Clinton clearly saw her as a threat, claiming in 2019, “I’m not making any predictions, but I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate.

“She’s the favorite of the Russians.”

Now, if you notice, Clinton did not name Gabbard, but of all the women running, Gabbard was the only one who did not kiss the ring.

I would also note that Clinton offered no proof of her claims, but that has never stopped her before.

Now, the accusations are more severe, and they are clearly aimed at Gabbard since being named the Director of National Intelligence by Trump.

For instance, Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA) stated, "Not only is she ill-prepared and unqualified, but she traffics in conspiracy theories and cozies up to dictators like Bashar-al Assad and Vladimir Putin.”

Rep. Seth Magaziner (D-R.I.) added, "Tulsi Gabbard’s deep ties to some of our nation’s most dangerous adversaries, including Bashar al-Assad of Syria and Vladimir Putin of Russia, make her an untrustworthy guardian of our nation’s most closely held secrets.

"As the highest-ranking intelligence official in the federal government, she would have access to information spanning everything from our nation’s nuclear weapons program to the location and activities of our military service members, and we cannot risk this information falling into the hands of our adversaries.”

If Gabbard is a Russian plant, someone is going to have to explain why the Army still allows here to serve as a Lt. Colonel in the Army Reserve.

She is a well-decorated officer with a glowing record, so her being groomed by Russians seems a bit farfetched.

I like Gabbard, but I liked her more as a Democrat who could help the GOP with legislation.

I predicted she would be part of Trump’s administration, and while the position itself surprises me, the appointment does not.

This is just Democrats creating smoke to try to create a fire, whipping people up, as usual, while they tell the media all they want is unity.

I think Gabbard will get some resistance on this appointment, but ultimately, I think she passes through.
