GOP Senators Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz have a major warning to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas:
Mayorkas is officially on notice for IMPEACHMENT.
The two Republicans claim they've got the evidence that could very easily translate into "grounds for impeachment."
The reason?
A "gross dereliction of duty" at the southern border.
Lindsey Graham represents South Carolina, so he isn't right on the front lines of this issue.
But Ted Cruz is right there in Texas. He sees the impact a soft border has on this country. He's seen it often.
"This is gross dereliction of duty and, if not corrected swiftly, could provide grounds for impeachment," the senators wrote.
"Your failure to faithfully enforce this nation’s immigration laws and willful blindness to the very real humanitarian crisis at our southern border amounts to a gross dereliction of duty and a violation of your oath of office," they continued.
"Despite the heroic efforts by the men and women of Border Patrol, who operate with very little support from Washington, D.C., you have failed to achieve any semblance of operational control of the southern border," they concluded.
