Democrats Admit Illegal Ballots Were Counted in Pennsylvania

Something I have never been able to comprehend is why we have election laws if election officials brazenly break them and judges allow them to.

In Pennsylvania, the system is again being tested.

To that report, numerous reports broke this week that PA Democrats openly admitted they were counting ballots deemed to be illegal to try to help incumbent Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) win his election.

Breaking the Law

We may not agree with all the laws that are on the books for elections, but the laws are on the books, so they must be followed.

Since the 2020 election, laws seem to be optional, even when they are clearly broken and challenged in court.

Republican Dave McCormick defeated Senator Casey by less than 30,000 votes, which was inside the 0.5% margin that triggers an automatic recount.

Now, since I have been covering politics, I have never seen an instance where a recount was able to make up a number that big, but it would appear that Democrats are giving it their best shot.

Bucks County Commissioner Diane Ellis-Marseglia seemed to admit to counting illegal votes, stating, "I think we all know that precedent by a court doesn’t matter anymore in this country.

"People violate laws anytime they want. So, for me, if I violate this law, it’s because I want a court to pay attention. There’s nothing more important than counting votes,"

RNC Chairman Michael Whatley responded, "Let’s be clear about what’s happening here: Democrats in Pennsylvania are brazenly trying to break the law by attempting to count illegal ballots. They are doing this because they want to steal a senate seat.”

In question here are ballots that did not have the proper dates or signatures, which the Supreme Court had ruled were illegal and should not be counted.

Again, this is a state law for elections, so it must be followed, but state officials are clearly ignoring the order.

The recount started this week, and a final tally is expected by the end of the week, but I can guarantee you that if the recount finds enough votes to flip this election, the GOP is going to go ballistic, and this election will be tied up in court for months.
