Democrat Senator Leaves Party to Join the GOP
Democrats have lost another player on their team.
A former California state senator is leaving the party to join the Good Old Party.
Gloria Romero, the former California State Senate Democratic Majority Leader is now a Republican.
Defecting
Romero made the announcement this week, now one in a long line of Democrats that has defected over to the GOP.
In announcing her party switch, Romero stated, “In this Capitol behind me, I served as both Senate Democratic Caucus chair and the Senate majority leader. But today I say goodbye. Adios! I’ve had enough.
She continued, “This is not the Democratic Party that I once championed.
“I do not recognize it anymore, and I cannot continue.
“I changed my voting registration today as the sun was rising to Republican, which has, under Donald Trump, become the champion of working people … and indeed, I will vote for Donald Trump this fall.”
This new Democrat Party has gone to the extreme, far too extreme for moderate Democrats, who we see continue to defect to the GOP.
The irony in this is that Democrats have lured in so-called conservatives like Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney, both of whom are likely under consideration to join Harris’ administration if she wins.
Harris has already stated that she would appoint a Republican to her Cabinet, and these two turncoats are the only ones I can think of that would be stupid enough to go to work for Democrats.
More than likely, that person will be Kinzinger, who spoke at the DNC touting Harris for president.
In the meantime, Democrats who are sick of immigration problems and tired of criminals taking over our big cities are flocking to the Republican Party.
The GOP is starting to enjoy support from independent politicians as well who were once Democrats, such as Tulsi Gabbard, a former Democrat representative for Hawaii.
Currently, every Independent in Congress caucuses with Democrats, so it would be nice to get one in there who is caucusing with the GOP.
