Democrat Prosecutor Steps Down in Laken Riley Case

The murder of Laken Riley in Georgia has created national outrage.

This has been spurned by the suspect in the case, who is an illegal immigrant with an arrest record and was never deported.

Now, to avoid any chance of this case appearing politically motivated, the Democrat DA Athens-Clarke has decided to recuse herself from the case.

Political Landmine

Riley, a former student at UGA who had transferred to Athens University, was out for a run when she disappeared.

Her friends called in a report of her missing, and authorities found her within the hour, dead, lying on the ground in a wooded area.

It was later revealed that she had apparently been beaten with a blunt object, which authorities called a crime of opportunity.

When it was revealed that the subject of interest was an illegal with an arrest record, all fingers pointed to Democrats and Joe Biden.

So, Athens-Clarke District Attorney Deborah Gonzalez stated that she would be appointing outside counsel to run the case, adding, “We will not allow this or any other case to be used for political gain.”

This came about after several high-profile Republicans came forward to challenge Gonzalez’s record, including Governor Kemp, who expressed little faith that she would be able to handle this case.

Donald Trump also pounced on the case, surely shining more light on it than there already was.

Trump, while holding a press conference at the southern border, stated, "The parents are devastated and they’re incredible people.

"This is a Joe Biden invasion. A Biden invasion. I call him crooked Joe… the most incompetent president we've ever had."

Trump made sure everyone knew what happened to Riley, adding, "A beautiful 22-year-old nursing student from Georgia was barbarically attacked. She was on a morning run… she was a beautiful young woman.

"I spoke to her parents yesterday, they are incredible people. They are devastated beyond belief. She was so beautiful in so many ways."

Trump added that she was "brutally assaulted, horrifically beaten, kidnaped, and savagely murdered."

"The monster, the charge, charged in the death is an illegal alien migrant who was led into our country and released into our communities by Crooked Joe Biden.”

Biden, while not addressing the Riley murder, has suddenly decided that he wants to address the border crisis, shockingly, after three years of having a turnstile at the border.
