When our government decides where a headquarters will be located, there is a very long process that takes place.
Possible locations are scouted, then evaluated to see which site would best serve the purpose of the base.
When the evaluation period was over for the headquarters of Space Command, Alabama was at the top of the list, yet the Biden administration gave the contact to Colorado, which finished fifth, reported AP News.
Something Shady
This was a political decision… there is no way around that.
In fact, it was so political, Rep. Terri Sewell (D-AL) publicly ripped Biden for making such a decision.
Landing a military base is a huge deal, as the impact on the local economy is very significant. And even though Huntsville, AL, led the way in qualifying, it is Colorado Springs, CO, that will land the contact.
The problem, of course, is that Alabama is a largely red state, while Colorado is firmly blue and a breeding ground for the liberal horde.
Sewell went off over the blatant political snub by Biden.
She stated, “This Administration’s decision to keep Space Command in Colorado bows to the whims of politics over merit. Huntsville’s merits won this selection process fair and square. In three separate reports, Huntsville reigned victorious, whereas Colorado did not come in second or even third. This reversal is as shameful as it is disappointing.
“I expected more from the Biden administration. A decision of this magnitude should not be about red states versus blue states, but rather what is best for our national security.
“To be clear, the Alabama Congressional Delegation stands united in opposition to this decision,” reported the Daily Caller.

The general consensus here is that Biden’s move was in response to the blocking of military promotions by Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), who has used his blockade to protest the Pentagon’s abortion policies.
Tuberville, of course, also slammed Biden, stating, “No administration has done more to damage our military readiness in my lifetime.
“Today’s disastrous mistake just adds to the long string of bad decisions that this compromised President has made. He is batting 1000 in that category since taking office.”
The White House has chosen to stay silent on the matter, but I am sure when they do comment, they will have another load of horse sh** to dish out to try to justify this move.
