Democrat ‘Expert’ Witness Gets Crushed by Senator Kennedy

This week, there was a Senate hearing on climate change.

Democrats decided to try to grab some headlines by inviting Olympic skier Gus Schumacher to testify as an “expert” witness on the matter.

As usual, when Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) got the microphone, he absolutely destroyed the witness and embarrassed Democrats in the process.

What is Carbon Dioxide?

When you bring in an expert witness on climate change, one would think that witness could actually explain what carbon emissions are.

That witness should also be informed of the costs of becoming carbon neutral.

Schumacher belongs to a climate change group called “Protect Our Winters.”

He was clearly overmatched by Kennedy, who did a deep dive on Schumacher before he got his questions ready for the hearing.

Kennedy was questioning Schumacher for about 10 minutes, and you are not going to want to miss a single second of this…

Schumacher got blasted on social media, and the comments were dead on, with this being typical of the response, “He thought it would be fun to go advise the Senate on an important issue. That fun ended at Senator John Kennedy.”

Humorously, Schumacher seemed to think he left a good impression, writing on Facebook after the hearing, “I don’t pretend to be an expert, but I'm using my platform to elevate the issue!”

This was embarrassing for Schumacher because while he contested that he was here to discuss the impacts of climate change on his sport, he could not answer the most basic questions about carbon dioxide and emissions.

To me, this seems pretty typical of young activists who love to make a splash by writing posts on social media for clicks and likes while not actually having any real education about the topic they are protesting.

Great job, Senator Kennedy, and boy am I glad you are on our side!
