Decomposed Bodies Found in Former RI Mayor’s Home

It appears that we have some mystery theater in Rhode Island.

Police made a rather shocking discovery in the home of former Woonsocket, RI, mayor, Susan Menard.

When police entered the house, they found two badly decomposed bodies.

Badly Decomposed

One neighbor stated that Menard had not been seen in quite some time, so the assumption is that she is probably one of the bodies.

The neighbor, Lorraine Tessier, stated, "I haven't seen them in a while because my sister usually walks this all the time and on occasion, I'd walk with her around the neighborhood and I haven't seen them in a while.

"Didn't anybody check on them? Grandchildren? Son? What happened?"

The bodies that were found were of an elderly woman and man.

Police stated there were no signs of foul play, but both being dead at the same time is obviously a bit odd.

Menard was the city's longest-tenured mayor, serving from 1995 to 2009.

The case is still under investigation and there have not been any updates regarding the identity of the bodies.
