Jason David Frank Death by Suicide After Fight with Wife

The Power Rangers were not a part of many of our childhoods, but most of us watched them with our children growing up.

A man who made a living playing one of those Rangers for the better part of the last three decades is now dead.

Jason David Frank, who was the original Green and White Ranger, committed suicide after a fight with his wife.

Horrible Ending

According to reports, Jason and his estranged wife, Tammie, had gotten into an argument at a hotel.

Tammie had filed for divorce in August.

The two had checked into the hotel in two separate rooms but had gotten into an argument in Tammie’s room to the point that hotel staff had to get involved.

The situation was de-escalated, but the two started arguing again, with Jason locking Tammie out of his room.

Around 5 a.m., she called the police to check on him, which is when they found him dead from an apparent suicide.

He was only 49 years old.

Even though she had been the one who filed for divorce, Tammie posted her respects on Instagram, stating, “The loss of my soulmate. Jason, I can’t go on without you! You are my world! Yes we had our struggles like any marriage.

“But months ago we both agreed it was worth saving.

“Deep conversations, vulnerability, forgiveness on both our parts.

“I am deeply lost, hurt and utterly destroyed. I lost my one and only true love. I am your forever ‘Firecracker’ baby…till we’re together again.”

Pink Ranger, Amy Jo Johnson, paid tribute, stating, “Jase, you were beautiful and truly unique.

“My life just won’t be the same without your frenetic, hilarious, caring, driven and creative ball of energy. I will always love you, dear friend. Please Rest now In Peace…”

Frank debuted as The Green Ranger in 1993 and was then transitioned over to The White Ranger in 1994.

His final episode in 1996 was also shot as The Green Ranger.

He also appeared in numerous video games, TV shorts, and video shorts over the years as a Power Ranger.
